People ask others how to find someone who can help them with their challenge whether it’s for the flu or back pain, detoxification, colon cleanse or weight management. There are many alternative ways to heal naturally. It’s all about finding the ideal practitioner for the healing journey and asking the right questions. Here are some suggestions to ask when on searching for the right practitioner. Individuals should:

1) Ask friends and family who they use and have had success with. This is the start of the journey. Finding someone that a close friend or relative has had success with and avoiding ones whom they did not succeed with. If they do did not have success, an individual should ask why they feel the practitioner was not able to help. Was it not the guidance they were looking for? Was the energetic connection not there?

2) Check out their web page and references. The web info will give a person points of reference from which to compare other practitioners and their services. Individuals should be looking for someone who can help you develop a person’s health journey not just service present pains. If they are any good they will be able to give you client references. Yes, they will give only ones that had a successful healing journey; however, it is known that patients who are compliant and willing to accept a life style change will be successful with the right energetic feel for both the client and the practitioner

3) Check out their education.

a. What type of certification is it?

i. Is it a weekend certification?

ii. Is it a week long certification?

iii. 1-2 year program

iv. Is the program nationally recognized?

b. Are they Board Certified?

c. Have they multiple skills and education?

d. Are they current with their skills and continuously developing new ones?

Once a person finds out what type of education the practitioner has, he or she will feel more comfortable with them; knowledge is power!

4) Ask how long/many years have they been working in their field. Do they have the confidence to guide people on their healing journeys? Are they confident in what they are doing? It is important for individuals to listen to how they answer the question. Are they avoiding it or giving a direct firm answer?

5) Ask how many hours a year of continuing education do they attend. Practitioners who are Board Certified must put in a minimum of 25 hours/board certification/year.

6) Find out if they have continued with their education and have taken other modalities to better understand peoples healing journey. How many modalities have they studied? Are they a master of one or a “jack of all trades”

7) Inquire if they refer out to other practitioners that are masters in their field. This is very important to ensure that one gets the best service from the collective of skilled practitioners. If they do not/cannot collaborate/recommend, especially for the modalities that are required for a particular healing journey, then they are the wrong person to be working with. In a healing journey, a person needs to have more than one expert working with him or her, so that he or she can have the correct energy and guidance to achieve a customized healing journey

Ask do they consult your case file with other practitioners/Dr’s, to better serve on the healing journey? Perhaps they come across a challenge which they are unfamiliar with. Is their Ego in-check to know that they do not know it all?

9) Check to see if they have used their own products/services themselves.

10) Research to find out if the products they use organic, all natural, and free from Fillers.

11) Find out if they practice what they “Preach” – walk the talk. Does the practitioner look healthy? Are they living a healthy lifestyle? Ask what they do to maintain their healing journey. Sometimes it is not only about the journey, but also maintaining it.

Finally, after finding that “ideal” practitioner, a person needs to ask if he or she has the trust, confidence and believe in them. Do they ‘Feel’ right? Is the connection there? Are they teaching/educating along the way? These are all a must in any healing journey. If a person does not trust and believe in the practitioner that he or she is working with, then the journey will not be complete and one will not have the confidence of ever getting to that “optimum level” of health.

Everyone should have a guide/teacher on their healing journey. While individuals are all trying to be healthy in all aspects of life – mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical – people also need experts to help them make those important decisions and guidance on what are the best products and modalities available. When people go into any health food store or read health magazines, they are bombarded with the choices, quality, dosages, etc. One needs to find someone to trust and believe in, and the journey will be a healthy and successful lifestyle change. Every person needs to educate himself or herself, to make good choices, and to trust his or her intuition. Health is the new Wealth!

Live, Love and Laugh,

Blessings, Debrah J. Zepf

Let’s all welcome allergy season with open arms!

You don’t have to stay indoors and suffer the runny nose, water eyes and sneezing. I have seen so many people in my practice within the last month complaining about allergies. The weeds, pollen and the start up of the air conditioning units are all contributors to most air born allergies My clients are tired of taking, over the counter drugs and prescriptions with little or no results.

I like to explain to my clients that I treat the cause not the symptom. After assessing the body through an EAV biofeedback assessment, and exploring the intestinal tract through the meridians points, we determine what homeopathics and/or botanicals will help the body to restore it to its natural state. According to the Royal Academy of Physicians of Great Britain, “90% of all disease and discomfort is directly or indirectly related to an unclean colon.” The academy identified 36 types of toxins that can form in the large intestine, get into the blood stream and “literally” destroy our bodies. So let’s “heal and seal the gut” and help the body rid itself of the sensitivities.

All natural remedies work different for each individual person. Some may need more botanicals and less homeopathics, some visa-versa. Which ever the case, I customize the remedies to my clients needs. If you choose to go the natural way for your allergies, please find a practitioner that will help guide you on your journey to health!
